Betting Pool on When Chris Breaks his Mac!

Our dear friend Chris has gone and gotten himself a new Mac.

This in and of itself is nothing unusual; Chris goes through computers like a teenager with a sweet tooth goes through retainers. However, I realized the other day that you can use the Boot Camp software available from Apple to not only load a Windows OS onto your Mac; but as many damn other ones as you like. This means that as long as you have enough hard drive space, you can partition off an infinite number of spaces on your drive for this purpose. Most of the time, Macs are pretty hard to kill, if only because they don’t let you mess with too much stuff. Chris is a special kind of talented, though. He can break just about anything if you give him enough free time.

In that vein, this post is the official start of the ‘When Chris Breaks His Mac with BootCamp‘ betting pool. $2 buy in; give your answer in months. Closest to the actual crash date wins. We will need to keep an eye on Chris’s activities with said Mac; but I imagine that, between the lot of us, we can do such a thing. I will contact his wife to aid us in this task. ^_^

Let’s say the pool runs for one year, or until Chris gets bored of not being able to break his Mac.

Jessie’s bet: 6 months until reformat and/or death.
